Rest.Q in the Newshttp://www.vancouverhumanesociety.bc.ca/help_needed/urgent_aid#El-Gato http://www.canada.com/richmondnews/news/ Vancouver Foundation Supports Rest.QRest.Q Animal Sanctuary Society is pleased to announce support from the McFarlane-Karp Fund of the Vancouver Foundation. This Vancouver Foundation grant will allow Rest.Q to undertake two distinct projects: First, new housing for the parrots will be purchased (Spring, 2008) that will allow the birds to enjoy more space and increased outdoor time; and second, to allow Rest.Q to continue its work in trapping, spaying, neutering, vaccinating, and rehoming feral cats in the Gulf Islands. The Gulf Islands are plagued with growing feral cat colonies and the support of the Vancouver Foundation allows us to reduce the suffering of these cats through humane trapping and community education.
