Ways to Help
Donations
Donations can be made online through Canada Helps or PayPal, both of which accept major credit cards. Direct donations may be made by sending cheques payable to Rest.Q Animal Sanctuary to:

As feeding, housing, and providing medical care to over 130 animals and birds, many with special needs, is an expensive undertaking, Rest.Q greatly appreciates your financial assistance. Due to volunteered time, our administration costs are minimal and donors can rest assured that the vast majority of donations go directly toward providing animal care (e.g., feeding, housing, vet care). As a registered charity (#83035 9568 RR0001) we are able to provide tax receipts for donations over $20.
Memorial Donations: If a donation is made on behalf of someone else or a pet that has passed, Rest.Q will send the recipient a personal card featuring one of our sanctuary residents.

Planned Giving
For information on how to donate to Rest.Q as part of your estate planning, please contact sanctuary director, Dr. Ty Binfet, at info@restqsanctuary.org.

Corporate Sponsorship
Does your company share Rest.Q’s values? Consider becoming a Corporate Sponsor and supporting education around positive animal welfare and the permanent housing of rescued, abused, and neglected animals. As well, corporate sponsors are welcome to visit the sanctuary as part of work retreats held on Mayne Island. For more information on corporate sponsorship, please contact sanctuary director, Dr. Ty Binfet, at info@restqsanctuary.org.

Volunteering
Occasionally Rest.Q will host "Work Parties" where volunteers will come to the sanctuary to assist with a variety of chores. We usually end the day by sharing a big vegan meal on the deck.
Liberation BC, an Animal Welfare group based in Vancouver, has established a September tradition of sending a group of hardworking volunteers to the sanctuary for a day. Volunteers helped rake the large aviary, changed bedding in the rabbit runs, and scrubbed down all the parrot cages. And thanks to "4 Aces Roofing Company" the old chicken coop will no longer leak and can be used to house new rescues.

We will periodically have volunteers who need a place to stay when they come to work at Rest.Q. Here is the guest cabin tucked among the trees.
